In 1948, WKDN, 800 on the AM dial came on the air. Some two decades later, it became WTMR. However, during its WKDN days, it did a little of everything including a noon newscast that ran 15 minutes.
We have two newscasts from September 1958. The anchors are Jim Donahue, the station's news director who did the local news and Art Milner who did the national and international summary.
The first program dates from Thursday, September 4, 1958. The second program came from that same month but we haven't been able to pinpoint an exact date.
