WKDN Radio

In 1948, WKDN, 800 on the AM dial came on the air. Some two decades later, it became WTMR. However, during its WKDN days, it did a little of everything including a noon newscast that ran 15 minutes.

We have two newscasts from September 1958. The anchors are Jim Donahue, the station's news director who did the local news and Art Milner who did the national and international summary.

The first program dates from Thursday, September 4, 1958. Radcliffe Bond, a visitor to our website, has dated the second program from September 9, 1958 because of the election returns.
