On Wednesday, October 17, 2001, the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia hosted NBC-10 Day at their luncheon at the Bala Golf Club in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.
Speakers that day were:
Dennis Bianchi, President and General Manager
Joe Collins, Vice President for Sales
Lawana Scales, Vice President for Programming
Steven Schwaid, Vice President for News
NBC 10 is WCAU, Channel 10 in Philadelphia which has been on the air since March of 1948. NBC took over ownership of the station in September of 1995. The Master of Ceremonies was Broadcast Pioneers member Herb Clarke, who worked at the station for almost 40 years. You can watch the panel's complete remarks.
