Broadcast Pioneers member Dick Covington is the voice of KYW Newsradio, the number one radio station in our market, Philadelphia. Dick, a long-time hand at KYW Newsradio moved to North Carolina awhile back. However, in November of 2001, he returned permanently to Philly.
Even after Covington left Philadelphia, KYW Radio still continued to have him record their station breaks. They were recorded down South and shipped back to Philadelphia. He is still the voice of the station.
Atfer our meeting on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Williamson's Restaurant in Bala Cynwyd, PA, Broadcast Pioneers member Herb Clarke sat down with Dick and chatted about his career.
