Sue Serio

Sue joined the 'Good Day' WTXF-TV team as weather anchor in December of 1997. Since then, she has taken her forecasts on the road to hundreds of places: from Lancaster to the Poconos…from Princeton to Cape May, and to just about every landmark in Philadelphia. She often has viewers guessing, with the popular “Sue’s Clues” days, when she makes you figure out where she is!
Before joining the Fox team, Sue was the co-anchor of “ Wake-Up!” the top-rated morning show on WIVB-TV, the CBS affiliate in Buffalo, NY. She also co-anchored the station’s News at Noon. Before that, Sue was on the air at WHYY-TV 12 (PBS) in Philly, where she worked as weather anchor and feature reporter. That was also where she met her future husband: Bill Vargus, who is the weekend sports anchor for the Fox29 Ten O’Clock News.
Sue Serio’s broadcasting roots are in radio. She got her first on-air job while attending Towson University, just outside her home town of Baltimore. She has a B.A. in mass communications, as well as the Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
She has hosted many radio shows: mornings on the old KISS 100 in Philadelphia; the popular “Magic After Dark” on WMGK-FM in Philly; deejay at WQSR and WBAL in Baltimore, and more.
