When the radio program started, Stan Lee brought in several assistants to work with him on the broadcasts. He was never really satisfied with them, so he brought his wife, Esther in "to fill in" for just a few weeks. She stayed with the show until it went off the air in 1958.

Broadcast Pioneers member Al Alberts was a singer and performer on "The Children's Hour." Al and his wife Stella had "The Al Alberts Showcase" (a program of mainly child performers) on Channel 6 for many years.

There was not a connection between "The Children's Hour" broadcasts here in Philadelphia and those that took place in New York City except that Horn and Hardart sponsored both.

When Stan Lee Broza passed away in 1970, he was all but forgotten. The only mention of his death was a small, paid obit notice in the local newspapers.
