Dave Huddleston

Dave Huddleston joined CBS 3's Eyewitness News team as co-anchor of the weekend evening newscasts with Mary Stoker Smith in November, 2008.

Previously, Huddleston had been co-anchor of the Ten O'clock News at WTXF, the FOX station in Philadelphia, since June, 2002. Since coming to our area, Huddleston has both anchored and reported on major stories from the collapse of the Tropicana Hotel Parking Garage in Atlantic City to the Philadelphia Eagles march to the Super Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida.

A multi-award-winning anchor and reporter, Huddleston came to the Philadelphia market from Minneapolis where he had been an anchor/reporter for WCCO, the CBS station there, since 1993. While at WCCO, he was one of a team of reporters to receive the prestigious Albert I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for a series of stories on the importance of mentoring. Huddleston also spent three years as a weekend anchor for WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition, he served as the host for the national Emmy Award-winning science show Newton's Apple. Other honors include the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.

Huddleston is registered with the National Marrow Donor program and has actually served as a donor for a 17 year-old with leukemia. His community involvement also includes serving on various boards including co-chair of the communications committee for the Penn-Jersey American Red Cross and is a Trustee for the Washington State University Foundation.

A native of Tacoma, Washington, Huddleston graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and television production. He and his wife, Tracey, reside in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, with their two daughters.
