Rick Williams is the co-anchor of Action News at noon and Action News at 5 p.m. He joined WPVI-TV, 6ABC in April of 1988 as a general assignment reporter. Before moving to the evening broadcast, Rick anchored Action News Mornings with Monica Malpass for more than a decade. Rick is also the reporter for "Crimefighters" which airs every week on Action News.

He has collected hundreds of awards for his outstanding work at Channel 6, as well as his commitment to community service projects.

Rick also hosts of “Youth Perspective” a weekly show featuring local teenagers engaged in a round-table discussion of current events.

Prior to Action News, he worked as a reporter at WRAL-TV in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, at WOWK-TV, Huntington, West Virginia, and at WUSA in Washington, DC.

Rick was graduated in 1983 from Howard University, Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

On Friday, November 19, 2010, Rick Williams was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame.
