"The Mark of Jazz"
WHYY-TV
1969

From 1965 to 1975, Broadcast Pioneers member Sid Mark hosted a widely acclaimed television show, first carried by Philadelphia's Channel 17, WPHL-TV and then later aired by WHYY-TV, Channel 12. "The Mark of Jazz" was THE broadcast of that era for jazz.

Shown in the picture (left to right) are: WIP's Bob Menefee, Joe Niagara from WIBG, Sid Mark of WHAT-FM, Jim Tate (not Philadelphia's mayor who had the same name) of WIP Radio, Reggie LaVong, also from WHAT-FM and the main man, Broadcast Pioneers member Jerry Blavat of Camden's WCAM.
